A wedding photographer is paid to capture three things: faces, fabric, and light. Acrylic preserves all three. Canvas - woven from threads visibly larger than the image's pixel size at standard viewing distance - flattens them.

Wedding photographers shoot mostly at 3:2 (35mm DSLR/mirrorless ratio). Our standard sizes are 4:5 or 1:1, which means a small crop is inevitable. Two pieces of advice:
Acrylic prints work as wedding-party thank-you gifts in a way framed prints don't - they don't need wrapping, they look intentional, and they survive the trip home in a suitcase. Mini prints (4×4 or 5×7) of the bridal-party group shot, ordered as a 6-pack, cost less than most engraved gifts and feel more personal.
If you're ordering as a gift, allow at least 3 weeks from photographer delivery to the gifting date. Photographers typically deliver galleries 4–8 weeks post-wedding; production and shipping add 6–12 business days on our end.
It depends on your contract. Some photographers grant unlimited personal-print rights; others restrict prints to their lab. Check before you order. We'll print whatever file you upload, but copyright remains the photographer's.
Ask for the "full-resolution JPEG" or "high-resolution print files" - typically 4,000+ pixels on the long edge. Web galleries deliver 1,500–2,000 px which is fine for 8×10 but soft at 20×30.
The face-mount finish reads as gallery-quality, which is more formal than canvas (which trends rustic) and more modern than traditional wood-framed prints. For a contemporary or transitional interior, it's the right register.
Yes - and B&W is where acrylic shines hardest. The true blacks and gradient mid-tones come through with film-like depth.
